Squamous cell carcinoma is the most frequent malignant tumor originating in the mucosa of the oral cavity and oropharynx. In initial stages, the therapeutic approach is surgical. The following case was approached by a multidisciplinary team offering a stepped treatment and thus, balancing oncological safety, functionality and quality of life. Male with prolonged sun exposure, dermatosis located at the right palpebral commissure with 3 years of evolution until presenting evident tumor, initially rejected the surgical proposal due to the need for extensive resection; however, he is currently satisfied with the results surpassing his expectations.
